An official of the Saudi Youth Welfare Presidency quickly denied media reports that the organization had allowed women to enter stadium to watch the handball championship, being held in Jeddah -- according to the Arab News. The Director of the Presidency's, Jeddah office, Ahmed Rawzi, declared that any women present at the game were reporters, not spectators.
On 28 January 2012, another government-run Saudi newspaper, Al-Sharq, reported that for the first time in Saudi Arabia, women would be allowed to watch soccer matches in one of the country's stadium that will only be completed in Jeddah in 2014. The newspaper quoted an unnamed official who allegedly said that the new stadium would include a family section with private cabins and balconies for women.
Saudi Arabia is the only country in the world where driving for the women is forbidden, although such a ban is never mentioned in the Qur'an. Although Saudi Arabia has no written ban on women driving, citizens are required to use a locally issued license that is not available for women. Even though there are protests against this requirement, the country is still too bigoted under the so-called progressive king that the movement is going nowhere.
Ikhtilat, or the mixing of men and women, is completely banned under the Saudi Sharia law. So Saudi men and women are permanently deprived of any mix-doubles sports. Even gyms are highly discouraged in Saudi Arabia. Only medically linked clubs are able to get licenses. There is a silent protest against this inhuman state restriction named "Let Her Get Fat."
The FIFA, the International Football Association, correctly banned the wearing of headscarves in 2007 on behalf of Muslim women who play sports. But apparently most of the sports-loving Muslim women are irritated and reluctant to wear or see such kind [Such as headscarves, Pajamas, long sleeved shirts and the wears cover their skins. -Thanks madam] of dress-up in sports. But they have to. Moreover, under the Muslim code, in the sportswear that is required, it is not possible to compete with teams from other countries. A Pakistani women swimmer on her visit to Bangladesh, who wished to remain anonymous, recently said, "We will never be competitive with the rest of the world until we are freed from full pants-like costumes we have to use in the games. It is ridiculous and freaky. Every sport or athletic activity requires easy dresses. This is why there is no world class achievement for the women of the Muslim belt in the world of sports."
It is clear to all that Saudi Arabia is still leading the Islamic world in medieval values and a culture of strict brutal laws, which are robust conflict with the rest of the world. Saudi Arabian laws are guiding the Islamic values followed by millions of bigoted people around the world. Today, cultural and moral gaps are the main subject of the conflict between Westerners and Islam. Nonetheless, the USA and some other Western countries have strong ties with the monarchy's treatment of us. There are never any sanctions or strong conditions or international pressure on Saudis to minimize this inhuman behavior, which deprive the women's world of sports any dignity. It is a billion dollar question: can oil minimize values too? While the West even cannot strongly suggest to anyone that he reform, is that not an unconditional surrender to Saudi fundamentalism?
