I finished high school in 1973 (Quebec Grade Eleven) and in my interactions with the younger set, it would appear that next to nothing has changed. In particular, the supposed 'drug prevention' programs which only encourage drug use continue to be in use, this despite their ongoing failure to prevent drug use. Finally, the United States went down this road nearly one hundred years ago with the prohibition of alcohol. I see no reason to believe that the war on drugs will be any more successful than the war on alcohol. Reply->

Do not legalize marijuana, as we did in Canada. Decriminalize it and fine people for selling it, using the money raised for mental health treatment. Marijuana is much stronger than it used to be and there is a clear relationship between its use and schizophrenia. We now know the adolescent brain doe not finish developing until a later age than believed in the past. Reply->

Over the next several years we will see what a bad idea this is. Drug use has been growing for years and now the left wants it legalized. Reply->
